Take Time To Listen

As parents, you must consider making the time to just sit and listen as your children talk.  Don’t interrupt, just listen, and you will learn so much just listening. As a parent, you set some rules.  One of the best rules you can have in your home is that everyone must eat one meal a day together as a family.  Try to make it the evening meal. You can ask them what their day was like, but don’t push the issue. Give them time, and before you know it they will talk in front of you about what has happened in their day.  You will be the wiser on how to handle some of the problems that they need help with. And in the meantime, you are building fellowship and a connection that is strong.
